Recently I was asked to write an article on something I had no Idea about. I felt a little uncomfortable about the situation, not because of the topic, but because I had no idea nor really wanted to know. I don't mind telling you what topic, I was asked to write about celebrity tattoos.
Now don't get me wrong , I'm not judging, nor condoning tattoos, just merely stating I have no Idea about them. I researched many different subjects pertaining to this and still came up with the writers block. I later declined to write for this topic because I felt I would not give a good review.
As writers should we write about anything. Everyday I see the articles becoming more in depth and on subjects that are pretty far out there. Everything from writing on Adult Content to .....well tattoos...I try to keep a broad mind, but sometimes I have to just tell the Publisher, "hey I have no idea where to begin". Just keeping it honest and real..
Let me know what you think, what kind of subjects have you turned down...or am I the only one out there with this issue ?
